FALL BREAK If you haven't looked at your band calendar in awhile,
please review upcoming dates. Be aware that ISSMA SEMI-STATE is the same weekend as FALL BREAK! Make sure you
keep that weekend free! WHEN we make it to Semi-State, we will rehearse on Thursday the 21st and Friday the 22nd. The
contest is held in Indianapolis on the 23rd.
RIDES AFTER REHEARSALS It would
be greatly appreciated if all band students would please arrange for their rides to pick them up no later than 30 minutes
after the end of an activity - rehearsal, game, contest, etc. Technically, the directors (or at least one of us) are supposed
to remain at school until all students have left. There have already been several times that we have waited for an
hour after the end of band camp or a rehearsal for students to get picked up. Yesterday, Wed. Sept. 1st - the last
student was picked up just before 6pm (nearly an hour and a half after the end of rehearsal).
BAND PHOTOS will be taken on Wednesday, September 8. Have your student
bring home an envelope if you'd like to order photos. Freshmen parents: individual photos are taken of everyone, a serious
and funny pose is taken of each section, and one of the entire band and color guard. Buttons of your student will also be
available on the order form, PLEASE BE AWARE that the buttons WILL NOT be in until after the second invitational.
Summer Band Fees are now over due Mail to WCS Band Boosters, PO Box 1821, Warsaw, 46581 or give to Mrs. Owens in the band office. Fees must be paid
in full or there will be a $3 charge for pizza at home football games.
MARCH-A-THON money can be turned in any time. Must be turned in by Sept. 3 for the 25%
student account money to be available for first semester band fees (due Sept. 30).
FOOD DONATIONS. Please remember to get
your food and drink donations in. See Announcement tab for details.
2010-11 SAT Test
Dates & Band Conflicts: See the Calendar Tab on this website for complete information on scheduling for the SAT so
it does not conflict with band events.
Kroger Cards:
By using Kroger Cards, you can raise money for your student's band account to pay fees. Cards are $5 and you reload them
yourself at Owens. 100% of all money raised through Kroger cards goes to students' accounts.
